    About Samir Saini

    Experienced CIO in both the Public and Private Sector

    Samir Saini has over two decades of experience in the IT world and has worked in both the public and private sectors during this time. Samir Saini first entered the industry after graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). He went on to work with General Electric Company (GE).

    In the nine years that he worked with the General Electric Company, Mr. Saini held various IT positions including ERP Director for GE Energy Services, a $25B GE business unit. During this time, he successfully partnered with various GE businesses to consolidate 125 Oracle ERP instances by over 80%, reduce ERP support costs by 30 percent and deliver $1.2M annual OM savings by implementing a mobile sales ordering system.

    In the public sphere, Mr. Saini has worked as the chief information officer (CIO) of both the City of Atlanta and New York, overseeing services across a large range of public agencies in both roles. During his time in these positions, he successfully modernized core IT infrastructure and rolled out smart city solutions that improved agency operational efficiency and overall quality of life for the community.
